    The bivariate and trivariate Fibonacci polynomials are defined, respectively, by \[ F_{n+1}(\alpha, \lambda) = \alpha F_{n}(\alpha, \lambda) + \lambda F_{n-1}(\alpha, \lambda) \] \[ H_{n+1}(x, y, z) = x H_{n}(x, y, z) + y H_{n-1}(x, y, z) + z H_{n- 2}(x, y, z) \] with initial conditions for \(F_0, F_1, H_0, H_1, H_2\). Some of the properties of these polynomials are studied, e.g., it is proved for \[ F_{n+1}(\alpha, \lambda, l) = \alpha F_{n}(\alpha, \lambda, l) + \lambda F_{n-1}(\alpha, \lambda, l), \] where \(F_0 = 1, F_1 = \alpha, F_2 = \alpha^2, \dots, F_l = \alpha^l\) and \(l\) is a positive integer, that \[ F_{n+m}(\alpha, \lambda, l) = F_{n}(\alpha, \lambda, l) F_{m}(\alpha, \lambda, l) + \lambda \sum_{k=0}^{l-1} F_{n-k-1} F_{m+k-l}. \] Some special trivariate Fibonacci polynomials are constructed.
