The purpose of this paper is to determine when collections of minimal prime ideals of a right Noetherian ring \(R\) are right classical (i.e. \(\mathcal C(S)\) is a right Ore set and the Jacobson radical of the corresponding ring of quotients \(R_ S\) has the right AR property, where \(S\) is the intersection of the primes). The first observation that the authors make is that if \(P\) is a minimal prime ideal of \(R\) then \(P\) contains a unique minimal \(\beta\)-coprimitive ideal \(D\) where \(\beta\) is the Krull dimension of \(R/P\) (i.e. \(D\) is the annihilator of a \(\beta\)-critical module and \(R/D\) has Krull dimension \(\beta)\). It is shown that every minimal prime ideal of \(R\) satisfies the second layer condition -- this answers a question of \textit{A. V. Jategaonkar} [Localization in Noetherian rings. Cambridge etc.: Cambridge University Press (1985; Zbl 0589.16014)]. Using the language of Jategaonkar (op. cit.) and \textit{B. Müller} [Commun. Algebra 7, 415--441 (1979; Zbl 0408.16003)] it is further proved that if \({\mathcal L}=\{P_ 1,ldots,P_ n\}\) is a collection of minimal prime ideals of \(R\) and \(D_ i\) is the minimal \(\beta_ i\)-coprimitive ideal contained in \(P_ i\) for each \(1\leq i\leq n\), then \({\mathcal L}\) is right classical \(\Leftrightarrow\) \({\mathcal L}\) is right localizable \(\Leftrightarrow\) \({\mathcal L}\) is right stable \(\Leftrightarrow\) \({\mathcal L}\) is right Krull link closed and \({\mathcal C}(\cap_ iP_ i)={\mathcal C}(\cap_ iD_ i)\) \(\Leftrightarrow\) \({\mathcal L}\) is right Krull link closed, \(R/D\) has a right Artinian classical right quotient ring and \(\{P_ 1/D,ldots,P_ n/D\}\) is the collection of minimal prime ideals of \(R/D\), where \(D=\cap_ iD_ i\). The authors also examine when \({\mathcal L}\) (as above) is a right clan (i.e. for no proper subset \(I\) of \(\{\)1,ldots,n\(\}\), \({\mathcal C}(\cap_ iD_ i)\) is a right Ore set); this happens if and only if \({\mathcal L}\) is a minimal right Krull link closed set and \(P_ i=D_ i\) \((1\leq i\leq n)\). Finally, for any minimal right Krull link closed set \({\mathcal L}\), all the rings \(R/P_ i\) have the same Krull dimension and all the injective hulls \(E(R/P_ i)\) are homogeneous.
