The authors consider the Cauchy problem as follows \[ \begin{gathered} D^m_t u(t,x)- \sum_{(j,\alpha)\in B} a_{j,\alpha}(t, x) D^\alpha_x D^j_t u(t,x)= f(t,x),\quad (t,x)\in \mathbb{R}\times\Omega,\\ D^j_t u(0,x)= v_j(x),\quad x\in\Omega,\quad j= 0,\dots, m-1,\end{gathered} \] where \(B\) is a subset of \(\{(j, \alpha)\in \mathbb{N}\times \mathbb{N}^n\), \(j< m\), \(\alpha\not\equiv 0\), \(j+|\alpha|\leq m\}\), \(a(t,x)= \sum_{|\beta|< |\alpha|} a^\beta_{j,\beta}(t) x^\beta\) and \(\Omega\) is an open set in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Let \(G^{(\omega,s)}(\mathbb{R}\times \Omega)\) (resp. \(G^{(m,s)}(\mathbb{R}\times \Omega)\)) be a set of functions defined in \(\mathbb{R}\times \Omega\) which are analytic (resp. \(m\) times differentiable) in \(t\in\mathbb{R}\) and in Gevrey class of index \(s\) with respect to \(x\). Denote \(\delta= \sup\{s\geq 1,(j,\alpha)\in B; j+|\alpha|\leq m\}\). Then they prove that for any \(f\in G^{(\omega,s)}(\mathbb{R}\times \Omega)\) (resp. \(G^{(0,s)}(\mathbb{R}\times \Omega)\)) and for any \(v_j\in G^s(\Omega)\) there exists a unique solution \(u\in G^{(\omega, s)}(\mathbb{R}\times \Omega)\) (resp. \(G^{(m,s)}(\mathbb{R}\times \Omega)\)) of the above Cauchy problem, if \(1\leq s\leq\delta\).
