By using a monotonically converging property of the solutions to certain nonlinear delay differential difference equations of retarded type, a condition for the global asymptotic stability of nonlinear delayed differential equations of neutral type with off-diagonally increasing right-hand side is presented. An example which cannot be analyzed by previous results is included to show the generality of the presented condition.
