The author studies the fractional differential equation \[ Au:=\partial ^\alpha_t (u-u_0)+\mu u-f=0, \quad 0<t<T, \;\mu\geq 0, \] where \(\partial ^\alpha_t u\) is the Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative, \(0<\alpha<1\) and \(u_0=u(0)\). For non-negative supersolutions of this equation (i.e. for solutions of the differential inequality \(Au\geq 0\)) there is proved a weak Harnack type inequality of the critical order \(\frac{1}{1-\alpha}\) and its is shown that this inequality is optimal in a sense. A certain Moser-type \(L^p\)-estimate is also given and it is shown that the supersolutions admit a log-estimate.
