Given a convex body \(K\), let \(h_K\) and \(S_K\) denote its support function and its surface area measure, respectively. In [\textit{C. Haberl} et al., Adv. Math. 224, No. 6, 2485--2510 (2010; Zbl 1198.52003)], the following Orlicz Minkowski problem was proposed: given a continuous function \(\varphi:(0,\infty)\longrightarrow(0,\infty)\) and a Borel measure \(\mu\) on the sphere \(S^{n-1}\), is there a convex body \(K\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) such that \(c(\varphi\circ h_K)dS_K=d\mu\)? In the above cited article, the even case is solved. In the paper under review the authors deal with the discrete Orlicz Minkowski problem for suitable functions. More precisely, they prove that there exist a polytope \(P\) containing the origin in its interior and a constant \(c>0\) such that \(\mu=c(\varphi\circ h_P)dS_P\), if the following conditions hold: \begin{itemize} \item[i)] \(\varphi\) is continuously differentiable, strictly increasing with \(\lim_{s\to 0^+}\varphi(s)=0\), and such that \(\int_t^{\infty}1/\varphi(s)\,ds\) exists for every \(t>0\) and is unbounded as \(t\to\infty\); \item[ii)] for \(\alpha_1,\dots,\alpha_N>0\) and \(u_1,\dots,u_N\in S^{n-1}\) not contained in any closed hemisphere, the measure \(\mu=\sum_{i=1}^N\alpha_i\delta_{u_i}\) satisfies that there exists no linear subspace \(X\) such that \(X\cap\operatorname{supp}\mu\) is not concentrated on any closed hemisphere of \(X\cap S^{n-1}\). \end{itemize} For Part I see [the authors, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 371, No. 3, 1795--1814 (2019; Zbl 1409.52011)].
