The global homological dimension of the ring of differential operators on a nonsingular variety over a field of positive characteristic (Q1821821)

Let A be the coordinate ring of a nonsingular affine variety over an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(p>0.\) It is proved that \(gl.\dim (D(A))=\dim (A)\) where D(A) is the ring of differential operators on A. In characteristic zero the result was known [cf. \textit{S. U. Chase}, Commun. Algebra 1, 351-363 (1974; Zbl 0315.13011)].
