The author studies the integral equation \(u(x)=\int^ x_ 0a(x,y)\Phi(u(y))dy\). All functions are nonnegative and defined for \(0\leq y\leq x\). The equation has the trivial solution \(u(x)\equiv 0\). It can also have other solutions. The author proves that under certain conditions on \(u(x,y)\) and \(\Phi(x)\) there can be at most one solution which does not vanish identically in a neighborhood of zero. He uses the method of \textit{W. Okrasiński} [Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 8, 345-350 (1986; Zbl 0603.45008)]. The main result of this paper is the attraction property of the nonnegative solution, provided that it exists.
