The holomorph $\mathrm{Hol}(G)$ of a finite group $G$ is the semidirect product of $G$ by $\Aut(G)$. We can consider $G$ as a subgroup of $\mathrm{Sym}(|G|)$ with the right regular action. Now the multiple holomorph $\mathrm{NHol}(G)$ of $G$ is the normalizer of $\mathrm{Hol}(G)$ in $\mathrm{Sym}(|G|)$. This notation goes back to \textit{G. A. Miller} [Math. Ann. 66, 133--142 (1909; JFM 39.0200.02)]. The paper under review deals with $T(G) = \mathrm{NHol}(G)/\mathrm{Hol}(G)$. In the examples known so far, $T(G)$ is always a 2-group. The authors show that for non-abelian $p$-groups $G$, $p$ odd, of nilpotency class two, $T(G)$ contains an element of order $p-1$. They further give a concrete example of a group $G$ of order $p^4$ such that $|T(G)| = p(p-1)$.
