The authors investigate relationships between system states contained in the neutral equation and the delay-dependent stability of a neutral system with time-varying state delay. By means of linear matrix inequalities, criteria for asymptotic stability and robust stability for neutral system with mixed delay are obtained. Numerical examples are presented.
