The authors study the behavior of the Hölder index for the continuous density of a superprocess over the real line \(\mathbb R\) having symmetric \(\alpha\)-stable spatial motion and branching mechanism \(v\mapsto bv^{1+\beta}-av\), where \(b>0\) and \(a\in\mathbb R\). When \(\alpha> 1+\beta\), they prove that the Hölder regularity index at given points for the density states is strictly greater than the optimal index of local Hölder continuity for the density states. The main theorem completes a result in [the authors, Ann. Probab. 38, No.~3, 1180--1220 (2010; Zbl 1207.60055)].
