The authors are concerned with periodic fixed-points of multivalued mappings. Following the ideas developed for single-valued mappings by \textit{C. Bowszyc} [Bull. Acad. Pol. Sci., Ser. Sci. Math. Astron. Phys. 17, 367--372 (1969; Zbl 0177.51703)], and using the generalized Lefschetz number, they establish a theorem on the existence of a periodic point, jointly with its relative version, for the case of compact absorbing contractions on metric ANR (absolute neighborhood retract) spaces. Defining the generalized Nielsen number for irreducible essential periodic orbits on compact ANR-spaces, the authors formulate a multiplicity periodic point theorem. Due to the fact that the computation of the Lefschetz number, and especially the Nielsen number, becomes much easier on tori, they provide applications related to Carathéodory differential inclusions on tori. Two illustrative examples are provided.
