    This paper presents a new technique for calculating electrostatic fields in inhomogeneous dielectric media. The approach used is similar to the classical finite element and finite difference methods in the way the model is input and discretized. However, in this technique, the space is tessellated into cubic cells where the dielectric constant is calculated. One of the important steps in this technique is to place a charge distribution on the boundaries of cells. This would lead to a resulting system of equations that describe the model in the ordinary way. The solution, hence is arrived at by standard techniques such as the Gauss- Seidel method. The accuracy of the proposed technique is discussed through examples.
