Let \(R\) be a ring with identity and \(\text{Mod}_R\) denotes the category of unitary right \(R\)-modules. For a hereditary torsion theory \(\tau\) on \(\text{Mod}_R\), let \(Q_\tau\colon\text{Mod}_R\to\text{Mod}_R\) be the localization functor. The purpose of this paper is to introduce higher differential torsion theories and to show that a higher derivation \(d\colon M\to M\) can always be extended uniquely to \(Q_\tau(M)\) if and only if \(\tau\) is a higher differential torsion theory on \(\text{Mod}_R\). Here, for a derivation \(\delta\colon M\to M\) on \(R\) and a filter \(F\) of right ideals of \(R\), \(F\) is called a differential filter, if for each \(K\) in \(F\) there is an \(I\) in \(F\) such that \(\delta(I)\) is contained in \(K\). If a torsion theory \(\tau\) is hereditary and the corresponding filter \(F_\tau\) is differential, then \(\tau\) is called a differential torsion theory. The author also shows that a higher derivation \(d\colon M\to M\) can be lifted uniquely to the module of coquotients \(C_\tau(M)\) of \(M\) at a TTF theory of \(\text{Mod}_R\). The paper also contains some examples.
