The author studies Emden-Fowler difference equations of the form \((*)\) \(\Delta^ 2 y_{n-1} = p_ n(y_ n)^ \gamma\) without sign restrictions on the coefficient \(p_ n\). Sufficient conditions for the existence of any solution \(\{y_ n\}\) of \((*)\) such that \(| y_ n-c | \leq \varphi_ n\) (with \(| \Delta y_ n | \leq \varphi_ n/(n+1))\) or \(| y_ n-cn | \leq n \psi_ n\) where \(\lim_{n \to \infty} \varphi_ n = \lim_{n \to \infty} \psi_ n=0\) are given. The usual conditions guaranteeing existence of such type solutions that is absolute convergence of the series \(\sum^ \infty jp_ j\), \(\sum^ \infty j^ \gamma p_ j\) are replaced by a weaker one -- perhaps conditionally convergence (some other assumptions are added however). Similar problems for \(m\)-th order difference Emden-Fowler equation (also methods based on Trench works for the continuous case) were presented by \textit{J. Korczak} and \textit{M. Migda} [Demonstr. Math. 21, No. 3, 615-630 (1988; Zbl 0673.39001), Fasc. Math. 20, 89-95 (1989; Zbl 0715.39002)]. See also \textit{J. Popenda} [Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Math.
