Under consideration is the parabolic system \[ u^{i}_{t}-\Delta u^{i}-\sum_{j=1}^{d}\partial_{x_{j}}\alpha_{i}u^{i}\partial_{x_{j}}\varUpsilon(t,u), \ (t,x)\in (0,T)\times\Omega, \eqno{(1)} \] where \(\Omega\subset {\mathbb R}^{d}\) is a bounded domain with smooth boundary and \(i=1,2,\ldots,n\). The initial and boundary data are as follows: \[ u^{i}(0,x)=u_{0}^{i}(x),\ \frac{\partial u^{i}}{\partial \mu}+\alpha_{i}u^{i}\frac{\partial \varUpsilon(u)}{\partial \mu }=\sigma^{i}(t,x,u^{i},\varUpsilon),\ (t,x)\in (0,T)\times \partial \Omega, \eqno{(2)} \] where \(\mu\) is the outward unit normal to \(\partial \Omega\). Under certain assumptions for the functions \(\varUpsilon(t,u)\), \(u_{0}^{i}\) and \(\sigma^{i}\) \((i=1,2,\ldots,n)\), it is proven that the problem (1), (2) has a generalized solution \(\vec{u}\in L_{2}(0,T;W_{2}^{1}(\Omega))\). The uniqueness conditions are exposed. Two examples coming from the corrosion and the self-gravitation model are discussed as applications of the results.
