Products of (weakly) discretely generated spaces (Q1939213)

The authors study whether a product of (weakly) discretely generated spaces is (weakly) discretely generated, in order to go deeply into the problem of proving if some family of spaces has this property. For example, they solve the following open problems: a subspace of a countable product of monotonically normal spaces, respectively \(GO\)-spaces or regular \(l\)-nested spaces, is discretely generated. In addition, they prove that the product of an ordinal and a weakly discretely generated space is weakly discretely generated.
