    Several possible definitions of entropy of a quantum assembly are formulated and discussed, and the mathematical structure of a channel in optical communication processes is described. As applications general formulae for error probabilities in some communication processes are obtained and the macroscopic irreversibility of some dynamical processes is discussed.
