If a Cohen-Macaulay ideal \(I\) in a local Gorenstein ring with infinite residue field has the property that every direct link of \(I\) is contained in \(I\), then every ideal in the linkage class of \(I\) is contained in \(I\). Moreover, the authors provide conditions for when every ideal in the linkage class of a symbolic power \(H^{(t)}\) is again contained in \(H^{(t)}\).
