Classification of standard modules with linear periods (Q2004946)

In the paper under the review, the author provides a characterization of standard modules of the group \(\mathrm{GL}_n(D)\) which have a non-zero linear periods, modulo the essentially square-integrable representations, where \(D\) stands for a central division algebra over a non-Archimedean local field of characteristic different than two. The obtained result reduces the Prasad-Takloo-Bighash conjecture to the case of essentially square-integrable representations.
