Given an Orlicz function \(\Phi\), the \(p\)-Amemiya norms on the Orlicz sequence space \(\ell_\Phi\) provide a family of equivalent norms \(\|\cdot\|_{\Phi,p}\) between the classical Orlicz norm (when \(p=1\)) and the classical Luxemburg norm (when \(p=\infty\)). In the article under review, the authors prove that \(\ell_{\Phi,p}\), the Orlicz sequence space \(\ell_\Phi\) endowed with the norm \(\|\cdot\|_{\Phi,p}\), where \(1\leq p \leq \infty\), has the Fatou property and that \(\ell_{\Phi,p}\) is a weakly orthogonal Banach lattice if and only if \(\Phi\) satisfies the \(\delta_2\)-condition. The authors also derive formulas for the \(M\)-constants and the Domìnguez-Benavides constants of \(\ell_{\Phi,p}\). Both of these constants have connections to metric fixed point theory and the authors note that the reflexive Orlicz sequence spaces \(\ell_{\Phi,p}\) have the fixed point property for nonexpansive mappings.
