Central limit theorem and cohomological equation on homogeneous spaces (Q2040221)

Results of Livšic type are extended here to the setting of one-parameter diagonal group actions on finite-volume homogeneous spaces. This in particular entails dealing with non-compact systems with non-accessible dynamics. A central limit theorem is shown for the ergodic averages of points on horospherical orbits. Using the Livšic result obtained here, the variance of the central limit theorem is studied in terms of properties of the test function with respect to invariant probability measures for the dynamics.
