This paper deals with the numerical solution of singularly perturbed 1D advection-diffusion two-point boundary value problems (BVPs). The authors use the complete flux scheme (CFS) proposed by G. D. Thiart. For this scheme uniform second-order convergence results are derived on structured grids by J. ten Thije Boonkkamp and his co-authors. Here, they extend a version of CFS to unstructured grids for a singularly perturbed linear two-point BVP. Further, they analyse the CFS and by using the Green's function, they obtain the uniform error estimate on unstructured grids for piecewise-linear source term. Numerically it is shown that locally orthogonal advection-aligned grids lead to uniform second-order convergence for 2D problems.
