The paper is devoted to prove a result of numerical verification of solutions of the nonlinear two-point boundary value problem for the second order differential equation with parameter \(\lambda: -u''= f(\lambda ,x,u)\); \(u(a)=u(b)=0\), where \(f:\Lambda\times (a,b)\times \mathbb{R}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) is a given smooth function and \(\Lambda\) is a bounded real interval. The case of turning points is considered. Around these points, the problem is extended so that the extended problem has an invertible Fréchet derivative and the usual procedure of numerical verification of solutions can be applied. A result of local uniqueness is proved. Finally, an example is worked out to illustrate the proposed scheme of numerical verification.
