    Summary: For \(q,\gamma>0\), we study existence and regularity of solutions for unbounded elliptic problems whose simplest model is \[ \begin{cases} - \operatorname{div} \left[ (1 + \left| u\right|^q) \nabla u\right] = (f / \left| u\right|^\gamma) & \text{in } \Omega \\ u = 0 & \text{on } \partial \Omega \end{cases},\quad \text{where } f\in L^m(\Omega),\quad m\geq1. \]
