    [For Part I, see Acta Arith. 56, 183-193 (1990; Zbl 0716.11036).] Let \({\mathcal F}\) be a class of functions \(f: [0,1]\to \mathbb{R}\) that are integrable on \([0,1]\). A sequence \(a_1< a_2<\dots\) of positive integers is said to be an \({\mathcal F}^*\) sequence if for every \(f\in {\mathcal F}\) \[ \lim_{n\to\infty} \frac{1}{n} \sum_{k=1}^n f(\langle a_kx\rangle)= \int_0^1 f(t) dt \] holds almost everywhere with respect to the Lebesgue measure (\(\langle t\rangle\) being the integer part of \(t\)). Let \((a_k)_1^\infty\), \((b_k)_1^\infty\) be two \((L^p)^*\) sequences for all \(p>1\). Suppose that for a suitable \(C>0\) for every \(u\in \mathbb{N}\) we have \(|\{r: a_r\leq u\}||\{s: b_s\leq u\}|\leq C|G(u)|\), \(G(u)= \{(r,s): a_rb_s\leq u\}\) (\(|M|\) denotes the number of elements of \(M\)). Then the sequence of products \((a_rb_s)\) is also an \((L^p)^*\) sequence (for every \(p>1\)).
