Let \(f_1(z)= \sum a_1(A)\exp(2\pi i\,\text{tr}(Az))\) and \(f_2(z)= \sum a_2(A)\exp(2\pi i\text{\,tr}(Az))\) be cuspidal Hecke-eigenforms of weight \(k\) with respect to the Siegel modular group \(\text{Sp}_n(\mathbb{Z})\) where \(a_i(A)\) denotes their Fourier coefficients. The theme for this paper concerns the coincidence of these forms. Let \({\mathfrak H}{\mathfrak S}^+_n\) denote the set of half-integral, positive definite, symmetric matrices over \(\mathbb{Z}\) of degree \(n\). Let \({\mathfrak F}_n\) be the subset of \({\mathfrak H}{\mathfrak S}^+_n\) consisting of all matrices of \(mA_0\) with \(A_0\) a primitive matrix and \(m\) a square-free positive integer. The author first shows that, if \(a_1(A)= a_2(A)\) for any \(A\in{\mathfrak F}_n\), then \(f_1(z)= f_2(z)\). In the degree two case, this was proved by \textit{S. Breulmann} and \textit{W. Kohnen} [Nagoya Math. J. 155, 153--160 (1999; Zbl 0936.11030)]. Secondly, the author generalizes his result to the case of the modular group with level \(\Gamma^{(n)}_0(N)\).
