The author studies critical one-component velocity regularity criteria of the Cauchy problem for the 3D incompressible MHD system and proves that if \((u,b)\) is a sufficient smooth solution of the 3D incompressible MHD system and blows up at a finite time \(T*\), then for any \(p\in (4,\infty )\), it holds that \(\int^{T*}_0(\| u_3(s)\|^p_{\dot{H}^{1/2 +2/p}} + \| b(s)\|^p_{\dot{H}^{1/2 +2/p}})ds =\infty\), extending thus the corresponding result for the Navier-Stokes equations [\textit{J.-Y. Chemin} et al., ``On the critical one component regularity for 3-D Navier-Stokes system: general case'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1509.01952}] to the MHD system. The main ingredients in the proof are the tool of harmonic analysis (e.g., anisotropic Littlewood-Paley theory), and exploitation of the structure of the system and the Hodge decomposition.
