This article first gives a historical compilation of Kepler's laws and Newton's laws and how they were reinterpreted in ``spherical dynamics'' during the 19th century. While spherical dynamics means a description of celestial mechanics on a 3-dimensional sphere, the ``projective dynamics'' deals with geometric projections either from planes to planes or from a plane on a sphere. Interestingly, according to a comment by Peter Higgs as referred in the article, ``the projected free particle orbits are the same as in Euclidean geometry: the curvature affects only the speed of the projected motion.'' In that sense, Newton's laws are generalized on a projected geometry. In the further course of the article especially the Lagrangian description is briefly discussed in projective dynamics and the issue about energy conservation. Finally, the problem of two fixed centres is discussed and integrated ``without computation''.
