The authors investigate the electron transport through HgTe/CdTe quantum wells, irradiated by a monochromatic laser field, using the Floquet theory and Keldysh' nonequilibrium Green function. They show that the conductance as a function of the radiation frequency exhibits oscillation peaks corresponding to a resonant tunneling. The resonant interaction between the quasiparticle and the radiation field leads to a shift of the oscillation peaks in the conductance that are governed by the radiation strength and frequency.
