This paper first studies the second order Cauchy problem \[ \ddot{x}+\left[\omega^2a^2+\sum_{|k|\leq n}[\omega b_{1k}(t)+b_{0k}(t)]e^{ik\omega t}\right]x=0,\;\;x(0)=x_0,\;\;\dot{x}(0)=\omega x_1, \] where \(\omega\) is a large real parameter. The author constructs the \(l\)-th approximation \(x^l(t)\) as \[ x^l(t)=\sum_{s=0}^{l}\omega^{-s}\sum_{m}U_{sm}(t)e^{im\omega t}, \] where \(U_{sm}\) are determined in the first section of the paper. Upper bounds for the errors of \(x^l(t)\) and \(\dot{x}^l(t)\) are also given in the main theorem. Then the author extends his results to systems of differential equations satisfying the resonance condition \[ \dot{x}=\left[\omega A+\sum_{|k|\leq n}B_{k}(t)e^{ik\omega t}\right]x. \] He constructs the \(l\)-th approximation \(x_l^k(t)\) as the \(k\)-th column of the matrix \(X_l(t)\) with \[ X_l(t)=\sum_{s=0}^{l}\omega^{-s}\sum_{m}U_{lm}(t)e^{im\omega t}e^{Q(t,\omega)}. \] An upper bound of the error is also given.
