In the present paper some new finite difference inequalities are established. A typical result is the following theorem. Let \(u(n)\) and \(f(n)\) be functions defined on \(\mathbb{Z}\) into \(\mathbb{R}_ +\) and \(c\geq 0\) be a constant. Suppose that the following inequality holds \[ u^ 2(n)\leq c+ \sum\limits_{s=n+1}^ \infty f(s) u(s). \] Then \[ u(n)\leq\sqrt c+\frac 12\sum\limits_{s=n+1}^ \infty f(s). \] The inequalities established in the paper can be used in the theory of certain classes of finite difference and sum-difference equations.
