The temperature effects on homogeneous and nonhomogeneous boson condensation in gauge field theories are studied. The general framework of the covariant quantization of gauge field theory is reviewed. To consider temperature effects the formalism of thermofield dynamics is adopted. It is shown that temperature effects can induce symmetry restoration for a certain critical temperature \(T_ c\) at which the topological solitons vanish. The gauge field acquires mass from the thermal averages. It is established that although Goldstone bosons do not belong to the physical state space, their condensation protects an appropriate topological charge. Finally, the non-Abelian monopole case is examined.
