The author shows that the product in any unital and complete locally A- convex algebra is sequentially continuous and it is hypocontinuous in any unital and complete uniformly A-convex algebra. He gives an example of a unital, complete, uniformly locally A-convex algebra (multiplier algebra of a \(Hilbert^*\)-algebra) with discontinuous product. It follows from this example that entire functions on complete uniformly A-convex algebras do not necessarily operate continuously.
