The connection between cluster algebras, introduced by \textit{S. Fomin} and \textit{A. Zelevinsky} [in J. Am. Math. Soc. 15, No. 2, 497-529 (2002; Zbl 1021.16017)], and representations of quivers was studied, in particular, by \textit{R. Marsh, M. Reineke} and \textit{A. Zelevinsky} [Trans. Am. Math.~Soc.~355, No. 10, 4171-4186 (2003; Zbl 1042.52007)]. Further development of the theory has lead to the concept of cluster categories [\textit{A. B. Buan, R. Marsh, M. Reineke, I. Reiten}, and \textit{G. Todorov}, Adv. Math. 204, No. 2, 572-618 (2006; Zbl 1127.16011)] and cluster-tilted algebras. A cluster-tilted algebra is the endomorphism algebra of a cluster-tilting object of a cluster category \(\mathcal C_H\) associated with a finite dimensional hereditary algebra \(H\) over an algebraically closed field \(K\). By the definition \(\mathcal C_H\) is the orbit category \(\mathcal D/F\) of the bounded derived category \(\mathcal D\) of \(\text{mod\,}H\) (the category of right finite-dimensional \(H\)-modules) modulo \(F=\tau^{-1}[1]\), where \(\tau\) is the Auslander-Reiten translation in \(\mathcal D\) and \([1]\colon\mathcal D\to\mathcal D\) is the shift functor. It was shown by \textit{A. B. Buan, R. J. Marsh} and \textit{I. Reiten} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 359, No. 1, 323-332 (2007; Zbl 1123.16009)] that such a cluster-tilted algebra \(\Gamma\) is of finite representation type if and only if the corresponding hereditary algebra \(H\) is of finite representation type. In this case the numbers of isomorphism classes of indecomposable \(\Gamma\)-modules and \(H\)-modules are equal. Let \(Q\) be a finite quiver and assume that \(I\) is an admissible ideal of the path algebra \(KQ\) of \(Q\) such that the algebra \(\Gamma=KQ/I\) is cluster-tilted and of finite representation type. The main result of the paper gives an explicit description of a set of generators of \(I\). It has as a consequence that the isomorphism class of a basic cluster-tilted algebra of finite representation type is uniquely determined by its Gabriel quiver \(Q\).
