The paper deals with the nonlinear variable delay dynamic equation \[ x^{\Delta}(t) = F(t, x(\tau(t))), \;t \in [t_0, \infty)_{\mathbb{T}}, \eqno(1) \] where \(\mathbb{T}\) is a time scale, \(x^{\Delta}(t)\) is the delta derivative, \(F(t,0) \equiv 0, \tau(t) \leq t, \lim_{t \to \infty} \tau(t) = \infty.\) Sufficient conditions for global asymptotic stability of the zero solution for (1) are obtained. As an application, the logistic delay equation on an isolated unbounded time scale is considered.
