The classical theories of a reduction for symplectic manifolds (Hamiltonian reductions and coisotropic reductions -- the Marsden-Weinstein theorems) extend to Poisson manifolds and further they appear as a special case of a reduction theorem stated in 1986 by \textit{J. E. Marsden} and \textit{T. Ratiu} [Lett. Math. Phys. 11, 161--169 (1986; Zbl 0602.58016)]. The authors of this paper note that from some point of view the assumptions of the Marsden-Ratiu theorems are too strong. Next, they suggest weaker conditions concerning the pair \(\left( N,B\right)\), where \(N\subset M\) is a submanifold of the Poisson manifold \(M,\) \(B\subset TM_{|N}\) a subbundle with a regular integrable distribution \(F:=B\cap TN\), which ensure the existence of a Poisson structure on \(N/F\) encoding the subbundle \( B.\) The last section is devoted to some applications and examples.
