In order to solve the 2D Dirichlet problem for Laplace's equation the author utilizes the collocation Trefftz method. One uses the fundamental solutions as admissible functions. A group of fundamental solutions (sources) are unifomly located on an outside circle of the bounded simply-connected domain and two groups of fundamental solutions are uniformly located on two circles: one is inside and one is outside of an annular shaped domain. The other choice of admissible functions for the smooth solution is harmonic polynomials. The author establishes error bounds between the harmonic polynomials and the fundamental solutions and error bounds for the approximate solution of the Dirichlet problem.
