This paper continues the investigation begun in the earlier paper of the same title [ibid. 12, 43-58 (1982; Zbl 0487.34031)] of the asymptotic behavior of solutions of the equation (1) \(L_ nu+F(t,L_ 0u,...,L_{n-1}u)=0\) (n\(\geq 2)\), where \(L_ 0x=x/p_ 0\) and \(L_ rx=p_ r^{-1}(L_{r-1}x)'\) (1\(\leq r\leq n)\), with \(p_ i>0\), \(p_ i\in C(a,\infty)\), and (w.l.g.) \(\int^{\infty}p_ idt=\infty\) (1\(\leq i\leq n-1)\). Conditions are given which imply that (1) has solutions which are defined for sufficiently large t and behave asymptotically like given solutions of the unperturbed equation \(L_ nx=0\). The integrability conditions on the perturbation term f in (1) permit conditional convergence of some of the improper integrals that arise. The results are more general than those in the earlier paper of the same title, in that they rely on the Schauder-Tychonoff theorem rather than the more restrictive Banach contraction principle. They are also sharper, due to a better formulation of the asymptotic problem, motivated by a recent paper of \textit{A. M. Fink} and \textit{T. Kusano} [Jap. J. Math. 9, 277-291 (1983; Zbl 0536.34048)].
