The aim of the work is to study properties of noetherian topological modules over complex m-convex commutative topological algebras with identity. It is proved that if in the B-module M, where B is m-convex algebra, every submodule is closed, then M is noetherian. If, in addition, B is a Frechet algebra and M is a Frechet module, then M is noetherian iff every of its submodule is closed. These results are applicated to algebras of holomorphic functions. Namely, let X be a complex reduced space with a countable basis, \({\mathcal O}(X)\) the Frechet algebra of holomorphic functions with a compact-open topology. If \(B\hookrightarrow {\mathcal O}(X)\) is a closed subalgebra, then every noetherian ideal of B is finite dimensional. Further it is proved, that over an arbitrary infinite dimensional Stein algebra B there exists an infinite dimensional topological noetherian module. The paper contains also other such results.
