On a paper of Bojanić and Stanojević (Q1084280)

It is pointed out that the main result of \textit{R. Bojanic} and \textit{C. V. Stanojević} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 269, 677-683 (1982; Zbl 0493.42011)] reduces to an earlier theorem of \textit{G. A. Fomin} [Mat. Zametki 21, 587- 592 (1977; Zbl 0373.42002)]. The author obtains necessary and sufficient conditions for some special cosine series to be Fourier series. These results extend the second theorem of Bojanić and Stanojević and show that the classical question on integrability of cosine series need not be restricted to series with coefficients of bounded variation.
