Examples of compact Einstein Kähler manifolds with positive Ricci tensor (Q1098123)

The author establishes the existence of cohomogeneity-one Kähler- Einstein metrics on certain holomorphic bundles of complex projective lines over products of two irreducible Hermitian symmetric spaces of compact type. The argument also yields numerous examples of compact complex manifolds with positive first Chern class, not admitting any Kähler-Einstein metric.
