The following theorem is proved: Let D be a non empty open and convex set in a real linear Baire space. If f,g: \(D\to {\mathbb{R}}\) satisfy f(x)\(\leq g(x)\), f(\(\frac{x+y}{2})\leq \frac{f(x)+f(y)}{2}\), g(\(\frac{x+y}{2})\geq \frac{g(x)+g(y)}{2}\) for all x,y\(\in D\), then there exist an additive \(h: D\to {\mathbb{R}}\) (misprint in the paper) and continuous convex (concave) functions \(f_ 1\) (resp. \(g_ 1): D\to {\mathbb{R}}\) such that \(f(x)=h(x)+f_ 1(x)\) and \(g(x)=h(x)+g_ 1(x)\) for all \(x\in D\).
