Let F be a function defined on a non-empty open and convex subset D of a topological vector space with values being subsets of another topological space. Assume that \[ [F(x)+F(y)]\subset F[(x+y)] \] for all x,y\(\in D\). Some conditions are established under which F is continuous and, moreover, \(\lambda F(x)+(1-\lambda)F(y)\subset F(\lambda x+(1-\lambda)y)\) holds for all x,y\(\in D\) and \(\lambda\in [0,1]\). Theorems obtained are analogons of classical results of F. Bernstein, G. Doetsch, M. R. Mehdi, A. Ostrowski and W. Sierpiński. A presentation of these classical results may be found in \textit{M. Kuczma's} book: An Introduction to the Theory of Functional Equations and Inequalities. Cauchy's Equation and Jensen's Inequality (1985; Zbl 0555.39004).
