The author studies submanifolds M of unit spheres \(S^ n\) fibred by k- dimensional great spheres of \(S^ n\). He succeeded to prove that for every smooth k-sphere bundle \(\xi\) with group \(O(k+1)\) over a compact space, the total space E(\(\xi)\) can be embedded into \(S^ n\) for large n so that the fibres become great k-spheres of \(S^ n\). The major part of the paper is devoted to the case when \(M=S^ p\times S^ q\subset S^{p+q+1}\). The main results correspond to the case \(p=q=3\). In this case, the space of all oriented 3-sphere fibrations has the homotopy type of a disjoint union of four copies of \({\mathbb{R}}{\mathbb{P}}^ 3\) and every 3- sphere fibration of M can be extended to the whole \(S^ 7\).
