Approximate common fixed points of some quasi-contraction mappings (Q1205190)

The authors prove theorems on common fixed points of a pair of mappings of a closed, convex and bounded subset of a Banach space. The mappings, say \(T_ 1\), \(T_ 2\), satisfy the condition \[ \| T_ 1x-T_ 2y\|\leq h\max\bigl\{\| x-y\|,\| x-T_ 1x\|,\| y-T_ 2y\|,\| y-T_ 1x\|,\| x-T_ 2y\|\bigr\}, \] with an \(h\) in \([0,1/2)\). Another result states the convergence of some Mann iterates to the common fixed point of \(T_ 1\) and \(T_ 2\).
