The paper under review introduces the concept of a full \(W\)-graph for any Coxeter system \((W,S)\), which generalizes the notion of a \(W\)-graph by Kazhdan-Lusztig and which determines not one but four closely related representations of the generic Hecke algebra \(\mathcal H\) of \(W\). In particular, when \(W\) is finite, these four representations can be used to describe the left regular representation of \(\mathcal H\) with respect to the Kazhdan-Lusztig bases \(\{C_x\}\), \(\{C_x'\}\), \(\{D_x\}\) and \(\{D_x'\}\), respectively. The author constructs certain families of submodules of \(\mathcal H\) by an explicit description of their canonical bases in terms of \(\{C_x\}\), \(\{C_x'\}\), \(\{D_x\}\) and \(\{D_x'\}\). One family of such modules are of the form \({\mathcal C}^J\) \((J \subset S)\) and are called top left cell modules, which provide all the irreducible representations of \(\mathcal H\) in the case where \(W\) is the symmetric group. The author also extends some of his results to the case where \(W\) is an infinite Coxeter group.
