The authors prove \(L^p\)-boundedness of multiplier transformations for spherical harmonics expansions. The hypotheses in the current paper are more restrictive than the hypotheses in some previous papers on the same subject. This can be seen by applying the Sobolev imbedding theorem and a result of \textit{G. Gasper} and \textit{W. Trebels} [Stud. Math. 65, 243-278 (1979; Zbl 0436.42005)].
