This paper continues the investigations of the author [part I, ibid. 7, No. 3, 365--376 (2000; Zbl 0968.20013)] on the structure of the so-called FNS \(p\)-groups (finite \(p\)-groups in which every normal subgroup either contains the derived subgroup, or is contained in the center). These are \(p\)-groups of class at most three and the class two case (which is difficult) is dealt with in the paper under additional conditions.
