    Verf. beweist mehrere Sätze über die Gültigkeit der partiellen Integration im Falle eines unendlichen Integrationsintervalles. Es sei der folgende Satz genannt. \(f (x)\) und \(\varphi(x)\) seien für \(x\geqq a\) differentiierbar, \(f' (x)\) und \(\varphi'(x)\) in jedem Interwall \(a\leqq x\leqq \omega\) eigentlich integrabel. Es sei ferner \(\varphi(x)\geqq0\), \(\varphi'(x)\leqq0\) und \(\int\limits_a{\vphantom{\int}}^\infty\varphi(x)f'(x)\,dx\) konvergent. Dann ist \(\lim\limits_{x\to\infty} f (x) \varphi(x)\) vorhanden, \(\int\limits_a{\vphantom{\int}}^\infty f(x)\varphi'(x)\,dx\) konvergent, und es gilt \[ \int\limits_a{\vphantom{\int}}^\infty\varphi(x)f'(x)\,dx+ \int\limits_a{\vphantom{\int}}^\infty f(x)\varphi'(x)\,dx= \left[f(x)\varphi(x)\right]_a^\infty. \] Für \(\varphi(x) = e^{-x}\) erhält man hieraus einen Satz von Hardy (Quart. J. 35, 22, 1904).
